The Overseas Chinese University (Huaqiao University) is a directly-administered university under the central government of China. It serves as a national base for Chinese language education, a national base for cultural quality education for college students, a national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, and a national base for inheriting and promoting outstanding traditional Chinese culture.The university has campuses in Quanzhou and Xiamen, with a total of 28 colleges, offering 11 disciplinary categories, 10 doctoral degree programs in first-level disciplines, 26 master's degree programs in first-level disciplines, and 25 professional master's degree programs. There are 68 undergraduate majors, among which 35 are nationally top-tier undergraduate majors, 17 are provincially top-tier undergraduate majors, and 22 majors have obtained international and domestic professional accreditations.Huaqiao University is one of the earliest Chinese mainland universities to enroll overseas Chinese and international students. With students from over 100 countries and regions, it has a total enrollment of more than 35,000, making it one of the Chinese mainland universities with the highest number of international students.With nearly 800 Malaysian students enrolled, Huaqiao University is one of the Chinese mainland universities with the highest number of Malaysian students.

Admission Requirements:

Applicants must have completed high school (including Chinese independent high schools, national secondary schools, or national-type secondary schools) or equivalent qualifications, exhibit good moral character and physical health, and be willing to abide by Chinese laws, regulations, and the rules and regulations of Huaqiao University. Malaysian citizens aged no more than 22 years old in principle are eligible to apply.

Modes of Admission:

Regular Undergraduate Programs:Principal's Recommendation Scheme: Students with outstanding performance in high school (top 20% in class ranking) or with special talents may apply for undergraduate programs at Huaqiao University by submitting their high school academic records and award certificates, accompanied by a recommendation letter from their high school principal. The university will give priority to admitting such students.

Application based on Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Results: Science and Business Streams: Total score of five subjects (including Chinese, English, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and two other subjects) should not exceed 25 points.
Arts Streams (Physical Education, Music, Dance, Fine Arts, Design): Total score of three subjects (including Chinese, English, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics) should not exceed 20 points, and applicants must provide relevant certificates of artistic performance or awards.
Application based on Other Examination Results: Diploma examination results from other types of examinations such as STPM, A-levels, etc., should meet the equivalent score criteria as per UEC standards.
