New Era University College

New Era University College (NEUC) is a prestigious non-profit institution in Malaysia, founded in 1997 with strong support from the Chinese community. Recognized by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education, NEUC offers diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programs across nine faculties, including specialized courses in collaboration with international partners like Wrexham University in the UK. Noteworthy programs include ASEAN Studies, Southeast Asia Studies, and Teaching Chinese as a Second Language. NEUC has experienced remarkable growth, with a significant increase in local and international student enrollment. Under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mok Soon Chong, NEUC prioritizes bridging Eastern and Western influences, fostering multiculturalism, and preserving Chinese culture. The university actively engages with over 500 Chinese enterprises and promotes industry-academia collaboration. NEUC emphasizes practical education while providing a secure and diverse learning environment, exemplified by the Tan Lark Sye Library, housing one of the largest collections of Chinese titles in the country and serving as a significant research center for Southeast Asian Chinese Studies.
